Question: what would it be like if Batman lived in Shanghai in 1930, had supernautural abilities, and kicked unholy amounts of ass with glowy nunchucks and insanely fast kung-fu moves?

Answer: face-breakingly awesome.

This absolutely gorgeous animated short by Wolf Smoke Studio was created for Cartoon Network’s DC Nation programming block, and also features a fantastic 1930′s Asian Catwoman who has incredible kung-fu maneuvers and a blazingly fast whip, as well as a gorilla-like Bane who perches atop a Shanghai building King-Kong style. This thing is just absolutely insane, and the design work and the animation is so beautiful. I’d love to see full, 90-minute feature that looks like this…I wanna know more about that crazy Batman who can turn into a swarm of bats! So cool.

In this dimension, he’s just a guy from New England who likes writing snarky things about superheroes, monsters, and robots.
