Some 007 fans love Daniel Craig for playing a cold, ruthless James Bond who’s more in line with the vision of the character’s creator Ian Fleming, while others pine for the dashing swagger and witty humor of previous Bonds like Sean Connery and Roger Moore. If you’re a fan of the latter, and hope to see the British superspy wearing a watch with lasers in it or hanging out with chicks named “Pussy Galore” again anytime soon, you’re out of luck, because today Bond fan site MI6 confirmed Craig has signed on for two more 007 films after November’s Skyfall

Personally speaking, I’ve never been a huge Bond fanatic, so I have pretty much enjoyed all of the actors’ different interpretations of the character over the years. I do tend to miss some of the ridiculousness of the older adventures, like the high-tech gadgetry and the coy one-liners that Connery would throw out, but I think Craig is doing a tremendous job in the role. Casino Royale was a fantastic film; one that could be enjoyed by someone who had never even seen a James Bond movie before, and while Quantum of Solace was entirely forgettable, director Sam Mendes looks to have created a sprawling, action-packed Bond film with stunning visuals in Skyfall.

So, Bond fans, are you happy with this announcement?

Sadly, that generation exists only in an alternate dimension where George Lucas became supreme overlord of the Earth in 1979 and replaced every television broadcast and theatrical film on the planet with Star Wars and Godzilla movies. In this dimension, he’s just a guy from New England who likes writing snarky things about superheroes, monsters, and robots.
