JOSS WHEDON SAYS WE SHOULDN’T WORRY ABOUT ‘GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY’
After the awesomeness that was The Avengers, Joss Whedon could tell me to beat myself with a baseball bat dipped in broken glass then lit on fire, and I probably would. That’s how much trust I have in the man right now. I think it’s fairly obvious, based on the box office performance and fan reaction, that I’m not the only one who feels that the word of Whedon inspires faith.
So, all of us who were scratching our heads when the Guaradians of the Galaxy film was announced, wondering how Marvel would pull off a film about four obscure space-based heroes and a talking raccoon — or why they would even try such a thing — can put our doubts to bed. Allfather Whedon spoke to MTV about director James Gunn’s vision for the film, and it is good:
