It’s now past midnight across the pond, which means that it’s October 5th, aka “James Bond Day,” marking the 50th anniversary of Dr. No. The first wave of celebrations has hit in the form of the full Adele Skyfall theme song, which you can now purchase at the iTunes store for $1.29 (hey, that’s probably what it cost to see Dr. No and buy a box of Goobers in 1962!). Here’s the video for the track, which is basically just the lyrics flashing across the screen. *cough* lazy *cough*

Jeff is the defining voice of his generation. Sadly, that generation exists only in an alternate dimension where George Lucas became supreme overlord of the Earth in 1979 and replaced every television broadcast and theatrical film on the planet with Star Wars and Godzilla movies. In this dimension, he’s just a guy from New England who likes writing snarky things about superheroes, monsters, and robots.

it’s a new Adele single – piano based minor key pop tune with catchy background vocals to sing along with like in “Rolling in the Deep”- mashed with a vaguely James Bondesque orchestra section. Well calculated and effective hit.
