STARBUCK ENLISTS IN THE ALL-FEMALE ‘EXPENDABLES’ MOVIE
Buckle your seatbelts folks, because that drinkin’, cussin’, fightin’, and hard-frakkin’ Viper pilot, Kara “Starbuck” Thrace, aka Katee Sackhoff, has just officially joined Gina Carano in the all-female Expendables-style action flick. Variety reported the news of Sackhoff’s signing onto the project, which will be fully financed by Adi Shankar’s 1984 Private Defense Contractors production company, and Shankar seems quite excited to have the former Battlestar Galactica badass on board:
Did this guy really use the word “pwn,” in a spoken quote? Seriously? What is this guy, a 13-year-old gamer playing Halo in 2006? But, I digress…I feel like such a frakkin’ moron, because I hadn’t even thought of Katee when discussing this film in recent weeks. She’s obviously a perfect, no-brainer choice for the film, and if they get Milla Jovovich, Michelle Rodriguez, Michelle Yeoh, Kate Beckinsale, and if the script is even the slightest bit coherent, then this is an action film that may rise above the pure novelty of the premise. Meanwhile, we can all see Katee in her A&E series Longmire, and in the upcoming sequel to The Chronicles of Riddick alongside Vin Diesel.
