‘ANT-MAN’ HAS A RELEASE DATE, ‘IRON MAN 3′ & ‘THOR 2′ GET THE 3D TREATMENT

Disney released a press statement today updating their release schedule for 2013 and beyond. The biggest piece of information in the statement concerned Edgar Wright’s long-in-development Ant-Man film, which finally has a commitment [yay!] from the studio and a release date – November 6, 2015. Ant-Man joins The Avengers 2 (May 1) on Marvel’s 2015 slate, and we can probably expect a third film (Dr. Strange? Black Panther?) for a late-summer release that year as well.
Disney also announced that both Iron Man 3, and Thor: The Dark World would be getting the post-converted 3D treatment, most likely to help inflate the box office grosses. [Insert "Kat Denning's boobs in 3D joke here.]
