PETER JACKSON MADE THE GREATEST PRE-FLIGHT SAFETY VIDEO OF ALL-TIME
New Zealand should really just get it over with already and name Peter Jackson their Lord and Supreme Ruler for life, because the guy basically accounts for 87 percent of the country’s annual income by churning out endless Lord of the Rings movies, Blu-rays, and spinoff merchandise. Hell, there’s even a freaky, giant Gollum waiting for you as soon as you get off the plane breaking through the ceiling of Wellington International airport!

Now ol’ PJ has produced the most awesome pre-flight safety video ever made for New Zealand Air, which features a menagerie of orcs, elves, dwarves, wizards, hobbits, and other denizens of Middle Earth on board the flight learning how to use the oxygen masks and fasten their seatbelts properly. It’s truly fantastic, but the thing I focused on the most is the footage of the business class seating area. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD THEY HAVE LOUNGE CHAIRS WITH OTTOMANS! Ottomans! On an airplane! The only seats I’ve ever sat on in an airplane were the width of a paperback book, and could only fit a Belgian circus contortionist comfortably.
