IS THIS CAP’S NEW COSTUME IN ‘CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER?’

CAP2

A scooper sent Comic Book Movie this concept art of a new costume for Captain America in the upcoming sequel, The Winter Soldier. I’m sure it’s legit, because it looks like it was done by the same production artist that designed the suit for the first movie, but who’s to say it isn’t just one of a dozen different ideas for Steve’s new duds?

If this is indeed the final costume for the film, I’ll be okay with it. It’s got some things that I like (Cap’s ears now show; the goofy bulbous cowl of the Avengers film has been replaced with more of a helmet) and some things that I don’t like (the white and red-striped midriff section looks to be gone; the stripes connected to the chest star emblem are unnecessary and invoke Steve Rogers recent comic book costume when Bucky took over as Captain America), but overall it’s a nice balance between the First Avenger suit and the outfit from The Avengers.
