All we knew about Chris Nolan’s long-awaited new film Insterstallar is that it would deal with wormholes and space travel, and now thanks to this new trailer, we know why our hero played by Matthew McConaughey makes a journey into the unknown — mankind is running out of food. We don’t get to see a whole lot of the titular travels in this clip; instead, it focuses on McConaughey and his two children, tugging on the ol’ heartstrings as the True Detective star must leave them behind on a secret mission to save the human race from starvation. I’m expecting some pretty heady stuff in this film, as well as an ample amount of mind-blowing space imagery, but I suppose we’ll have to wait til we’re closer to the November 7th release date to get to the real money shots.
Jeff is the defining voice of his generation. Sadly, that generation exists only in an alternate dimension where George Lucas became supreme overlord of the Earth in 1979 and replaced every television broadcast and theatrical film on the planet with Star Wars and Godzilla movies. In this dimension, he’s just a guy from New England who likes writing snarky things about superheroes, monsters, and robots.
