It’s back to current events on the LeagueCast this week, as the gang tackles several breaking geek culture news stories that rocked the Internet and sent commenters into a storm of emotions ranging from apprehensive optimism to frothing rage. The usual League crew of Jeff, Shawn, Adam kick things off by analyzing the first trailer for Josh Trank’s much-maligned Fantastic Four, then move on to address the maelstrom of hate for the just-announced all-female cast of the Ghostbusters reboot. Following that, the crew discusses the possibility of Chris Pratt playing Indiana Jones, the prospects and subject matter of the proposed X-Men TV series at FOX, and the show wraps up with some thoughts about Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, and Alexandra Shipp playing young versions of Jena Grey, Scott Summers, and Storm in X-Men: Apocalypse. All this, plus recommendations and picks for best geek culture flick with a snowy/cold setting!

About Author

Jeff Carter

Jeff is the defining voice of his generation. Sadly, that generation exists only in an alternate dimension where George Lucas became supreme overlord of the Earth in 1979 and replaced every television broadcast and theatrical film on the planet with Star Wars and Godzilla movies. In this dimension, he’s just a guy from New England who likes writing snarky things about superheroes, monsters, and robots.
