It’s another current events grab bag this week on the 65th edition of the LeagueCast podcast! Join Jeff, Adam, Aaron, and Shawn as they kick off the show with a discussion of the new male-centric Ghostbusters movie starring Channing Tatum, directed by the Russo Brothers, and written by Drew Pearce, which will spin out of the female-led Ghostbusters movie and launch an entire Ghostbusters Cinematic Universe. Then the gang turn their thoughts to the new publishing initiative announced by Disney, a 20-book project that will fill in the gap between Return Of The Jedi and The Force Awakens. After that, the guys analyze the new Supergirl costume and talk about the rumor that Chris Pine is being sought to play Hal Jordan/Green Lantern in the DC Cinematic Universe. The episode wraps up with a conversation about Lucy Lawless joining the Evil Dead Vs. Ash series and whether or not the concept is viable, and whether anyone cares about the forthcoming Tron 3.

About Author

Jeff Carter

Jeff is the defining voice of his generation. Sadly, that generation exists only in an alternate dimension where George Lucas became supreme overlord of the Earth in 1979 and replaced every television broadcast and theatrical film on the planet with Star Wars and Godzilla movies. In this dimension, he’s just a guy from New England who likes writing snarky things about superheroes, monsters, and robots.
