LEAGUECAST #72 -The New Joker, Joss Whedon’s Dirty Laundry, X-MEN, And RIP Andrew Lesnie

This week on THE LEAGUECAST podcast, Adam takes over hosting duties and leads Jeff, Shawn, and Aaron in a multi-topic, current geek culture events round-up. First up, the crew reacts to the official image of Jared Leto’s version of The Joker from Suicide Squad, and goes on to discuss the behind-the-scenes creative issues at Warner Brothers/DC Entertainment. Following that, they turn their focus to the possible end of the Bryan Singer era of X-Men movies with X-Men: Apocalypse and Wolverine 3. Then the guys close out the show by honoring the late Lord Of The Rings cinematographer Andrew Lesnie, and talking about Joss Whedon airing out all of his Marvel Studios dirty laundry now that he’s finished his contract. All this, plus Bane returns and host recommendations!

Jeff is the defining voice of his generation. Sadly, that generation exists only in an alternate dimension where George Lucas became supreme overlord of the Earth in 1979 and replaced every television broadcast and theatrical film on the planet with Star Wars and Godzilla movies. In this dimension, he’s just a guy from New England who likes writing snarky things about superheroes, monsters, and robots.
