LEAGUECAST #116 – The R-Rated BATMAN V SUPERMAN Controversy

Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice continues to polarize fans and create controversy as we race towards its March 25th release date, so this week, the League tackles all the issues related to the greatest gladiator match in history! Jeff and Shawn return after a week away with guest hosts Marc Lapierre and John McCarthy to discuss Zack Snyder’s decision to create an R-rated version of the film for release on home video; what’s causing all the anger and obsessiveness from the DC “Bat-Bros”; the film’s box-office potential; Wonder Woman’s role; the negative press the movie’s attracting; and LOTS more. The gang also sneaks in some Captain America: Civil War talk and reflects on what an amazing time it is to be a geek!

As always, you can listen to the LeagueCast right here in your browser, download the MP3 file, or check out the show and subscribe to the podcast in the iTunes store or on Stitcher Smart Radio. Jeff Carter

Jeff is the defining voice of his generation. Sadly, that generation exists only in an alternate dimension where George Lucas became supreme overlord of the Earth in 1979 and replaced every television broadcast and theatrical film on the planet with Star Wars and Godzilla movies. In this dimension, he’s just a guy from New England who likes writing snarky things about superheroes, monsters, and robots.
