LEAGUECAST #155 – The Future Of STAR WARS Beyond The Skywalker Saga & THE WALKING DEAD’s Rating Problems

It’s a completely Jeff-free edition of the LeagueCast! That’s right, kids, Adam takes over hosting duties on this one, with co-hosts Shawn and special guest Aaron Peterson of The Hollywood Outsider and Beyond Westworld podcasts. The gang kicks off the show by sharing their Black Friday shopping conquests, and Adam and Aaron take advantage of Jeff’s absence to extol the virtues of Batman V Superman: Ultimate Cut on blu-ray. Then in the main topic portion of the show, the guys discuss the future of the Star Wars movies beyond the end of the Skywalker saga in Episode IX, as well as share their feelings on the lack of an opening crawl in Rogue One. The show wraps up with a very in-depth analysis of the reasons behind The Walking Dead‘s plummeting ratings in the first half of season 7. All this, plus the usual weekly geek movie/TV/book/game recommendations, and the shocking reason why Jeff is AWOL revealed!!!

As always, you can listen to the LeagueCast right here in your browser, download the MP3 file, or check out the show and subscribe to the podcast in the iTunes store or on Stitcher Smart Radio. Jeff is the defining voice of his generation. Sadly, that generation exists only in an alternate dimension where George Lucas became supreme overlord of the Earth in 1979 and replaced every television broadcast and theatrical film on the planet with Star Wars and Godzilla movies. In this dimension, he’s just a guy from New England who likes writing snarky things about superheroes, monsters, and robots.
