LEAGUECAST #156 – CW HEROES VS. ALIENS Crossover Discussion & Review

Jeff’s back with a vengeance on this week’s LeagueCast, returning from his one-week vacation to discuss the CW’s epic Heroes Vs. Aliens  4-part crossover! Shawn and Adam join in on the fun as the Geek League debates and reviews every aspect of the all-star TV event, from the crossover really only being three parts instead of four, to the appearance of the Hall Of Justice (sort of), to the CGI quality of the Dominators, to the numerous cliches and tropes employed throughout the four nights, and the overlying theme turning out to be “Everyone Hates Barry!” The gang also shares their opinions on several new blockbuster geek trailers, including Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2, Transformers: The Last Knight, The Mummy, and a brief glimpse of Spidey’s armpit web wings in a snippet from the Spider-Man: Homecoming teaser! All this, plus Alice Drummond and Van Williams remembered, Jeff taking offense to Adam’s joke about being arrested on Black Friday, and the usual weekly geek movie/TV/game/book/comic recommendations!

As always, you can listen to the LeagueCast right here in your browser, download the MP3 file, or check out the show and subscribe to the podcast in the iTunes store or on Stitcher Smart Radio. Jeff is the defining voice of his generation. Sadly, that generation exists only in an alternate dimension where George Lucas became supreme overlord of the Earth in 1979 and replaced every television broadcast and theatrical film on the planet with Star Wars and Godzilla movies. In this dimension, he’s just a guy from New England who likes writing snarky things about superheroes, monsters, and robots.
