It’s an all-star send off to one of the most eventful, turbulent, and deadly years in geek culture history as the LeagueCast says farewell to 2016! Jeff, Adam, and Shawn welcome special guest co-hosts Aaron Peterson of the Hollywood Outsider podcast and “The Shmozz” Matt Schmaelzle to the show, forming a mighty team of geek culture experts to tackle an in-depth recap and discussion of the year in superhero, sci-fi, fantasy, and horror movies and TV! In addition to paying homage to the recently departed Carrie Fisher and sharing the celebrity deaths that affected them the most, the crew also make their picks for the year in the following categories:

  • Most Shocking Geek Moment Of The Year
  • Biggest News Story/Event Of The Year
  • Most Disappointing Film/Event Of The Year
  • Favorite & Best TV Show Of The Year
  • Favorite & Best Movie Of The Year

Along the way there is a random discussion of the 1992 Moira Kelly/D.B. Sweeney classic The Cutting Edge, Aaron and The Shmozz giving Jeff a hard time over Dawn Of Justice and Suicide Squad, and the usual hijinks and tomfoolery int he mighty League manner!

Jeff Carter

Jeff is the defining voice of his generation. Sadly, that generation exists only in an alternate dimension where George Lucas became supreme overlord of the Earth in 1979 and replaced every television broadcast and theatrical film on the planet with Star Wars and Godzilla movies. In this dimension, he’s just a guy from New England who likes writing snarky things about superheroes, monsters, and robots.
