LEAGUECAST #177 – Disney’s Big Dump

This week’s LeagueCast is sandwiched between two huge episodes—last week’s summer blockbuster movie preview and predictions show, and next week’s review of Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy Volume 2—so it’s a bit of a looser show as the gang delves into Disney’s big release slate, which has been planned out to 2021! Highlights include a pros and cons discussion about Star Wars abandoning the December release window to return to May and the potential for the saga to cut off the momentum of the Avengers Infinity films; Marvel looking to carve out a high-grossing niche in February with the much-anticipated Black Panther solo film; all of the questions surrounding the fifth Indiana Jones film slated for release in July 2020, with a 77-year-old Harrison Ford under the hat for the final time; and so much more! Plus, the weekly geek headlines segment with Shawn returns, Adam makes a Space Camp reference, host recommendations, and the usual banter and tangents in the mighty League manner!

As always, you can listen to the LeagueCast right here in your browser, download the MP3 file, or check out the show and subscribe to the podcast in the iTunes store or on Stitcher Smart Radio. Jeff is the defining voice of his generation. Sadly, that generation exists only in an alternate dimension where George Lucas became supreme overlord of the Earth in 1979 and replaced every television broadcast and theatrical film on the planet with Star Wars and Godzilla movies. In this dimension, he’s just a guy from New England who likes writing snarky things about superheroes, monsters, and robots.
