LEAGUECAST #196 – JJ Abrams Returns & INHUMANS Pilot Review

Last week on the LeagueCast, the crew speculated on how long it would be until Kathleen Kennedy snagged another director for Star Wars: Episode IX, and luckily for the Geek League, she announced Mr. Jeffrey Jacob Abrams would be returning to the fold just in time for this week’s show! Join Jeff, Shawn, Adam, and The Shmozz as they discuss their feelings about JJ wrapping up the trilogy, the release date being pushed back to a week after Wonder Woman 2, BVS and Justice League writer Chris Terrio also coming on board to help JJ with the screenplay, and what this all could mean for the future of Star Wars and Abrams’ legacy. Plus, the gang scored a press screener for the first two episodes of Marvel’s The Inhumans series, and they don’t hold back on their intense dislike for Jeph Loeb and Scott Buck’s low-budget, flat, dull adaptation of Marvel’s weird royal family. All this, plus news headlines with Shawn, the box office rundown with The Shmozz, and the usual banter and tangents in the mighty League manner!

As always, you can listen to the LeagueCast right here in your browser, download the MP3 file, or check out the show and subscribe to the podcast in the iTunes store or on Stitcher Smart Radio. About Author

Jeff Carter

Jeff is the defining voice of his generation. Sadly, that generation exists only in an alternate dimension where George Lucas became supreme overlord of the Earth in 1979 and replaced every television broadcast and theatrical film on the planet with Star Wars and Godzilla movies. In this dimension, he’s just a guy from New England who likes writing snarky things about superheroes, monsters, and robots.
