LEAGUECAST #205 – Geek News Feast

It’s a smorgasbord of tasty geek news delights on the LeagueCast this week! Join Jeff, Adam, Shawn, and The Shmozz as they catch up on some earth-shattering news headlines and announcements from the world of geek movies and television, in between last week’s Thor: Ragnarok review episode, and next week’s highly-anticipated Justice League reaction show. First up, the gang tries to figure out why Amazon would shell out $250 just for the rights to make a Lord Of The Rings TV show on their Prime video service. Then, the guys share their reactions to Wonder Woman 2 moving up a month, and Sony’s baffling decision to make a Morbius movie. Finally, the show wraps up with a huge, in-depth discussion of Disney’s bold Star Wars and Marvel announcements, which range from tapping Rian Johnson to direct an new Star Wars trilogy that is entirely separate from the Skywalker saga, to their ambitious plans to consolidate all Marvel & Star Wars programming on their exclusive streaming service! Plus, the box office draws with the Shmozz, and the usual banter and tangents in the mighty League manner!

Jeff Carter

Jeff is the defining voice of his generation. Sadly, that generation exists only in an alternate dimension where George Lucas became supreme overlord of the Earth in 1979 and replaced every television broadcast and theatrical film on the planet with Star Wars and Godzilla movies. In this dimension, he’s just a guy from New England who likes writing snarky things about superheroes, monsters, and robots.
